As I sit here tonight pondering the last week I can't help but think how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye. In my own personal life my husband and I had to say good bye to a cherished member of our family, in the form of our beloved dog Dakota. And in the grand scheme of life, to many, he was just a dog, but to us he was a fur kid and such a big part of our lives. It was a sad day for us and his presence is so very missed, but he passed quickly at home with the help of an amazing vet named Dr Krista Puddester and he was held in my arms while he took his last breath. We have 3 other dogs that are making it easier to carry on. Outside my own little protected world, in the real world, 2  terrible men wrecked havoc upon Boston, they killed and maimed several people. But the people of Boston fought back, the police caught one and the other was killed during a police chase. But during this terrible time, many good people came together and helped each other. So even during this awful time, humans showed what can happen when we pull together. I just wish it didn't take such terrible things to get us to do it more often. It's things like what happened in Boston that can really make you discouraged with the world, but in the same breath it's things like what happened in Boston that can give you hope for humanity again. The many, many stories of folks helping each other, of the policeman that ran to a store to get milk for a couple's 16 month old baby when they ran out and were not allowed to leave their home because the police were still searching for the remaining bomber who was at large. Bad people can only do more harm when we fear them and the friggen Media gives so much air time to them, who cares where these little bastards grew up? Focus more on the heros, the police and FBI who caught them, the officer that lost his life in the pursuit of these Arseholes, of the victims, but for God's sake stop talking about these idiots that caused all this grief.
What the world truly needs is more good news everyday. We need to get rid of  dishonest politicians, take better care of our planet, tax the rich Arseholes hiding in the loop holes, ban the sale of ALL assault rifles and limit the amount of Ammo people can buy. Force back ground checks, stop allowing the NRA so much power, shut the Westboro Baptist Church up once and for all, definately stop Monsanto from producing and suppling companies with chemicals that poison our food and force companies to label all their products. I have a right to know what I'm eating for heavens sake.

And I'm really ticked off to hear about Cara Hale, who's been a teacher at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio, for 19 years. She was fired from her job after 19 years because in her Mother's Obit they mentioned her partner Julie, turns out the school is a Catholic School and had no idea she was gay. So they promptly fired her. Are you kidding me? Now please refresh my memory, how many of your Catholic Priests have molested little boys? And how often did you hide it, move them to new parishes without informing the parishoners of what their new priest had done? And how often do you fire straight unmarried women living with their boyfriends that are on birth control because this is appearently one of your "No no" rules????  So sick of the Catholic Church's double standards, such a pack of hypocrites...

This is the article about Cara Hale: http://ca.shine.yahoo.com/blogs/shine-on/lesbian-catholic-school-teacher-fired-being-outed-her-173554704.html?fb_action_ids=10152309830076002&fb_action_types=og.recommends&fb_ref=facebook_cb&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%2210152309830076002%22%3A479617872110996%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210152309830076002%22%3A%22og.recommends%22%7D&action_ref_map=%7B%2210152309830076002%22%3A%22facebook_cb%22%7D

I just get so damned sick of some, not all, but some people's mentality on life, thinking their bad behaviour is alright. On a daily basis we as humans are so ignorant to each other, most of us just don't give a shit. Rarely taking the time to help each other, or get off our asses to actually do something to change anything about our world, our lives or the lives of others. Some of us sit in our homes and bitch and whine about taxes, politicians, the state of the world, but what do most of us do about it?
A great big nothing, that what alot of us do, we've become "Arm chair Warriors". We sit and utter fighting words at the T.V,, get pissed off, work ourselves up over whats happening in the world, but WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT?
Our world is falling into disrepair, kids are being shot and killed in their schools, one place they should be the safest. And the NRA is fighting for people to keep their Assault rifles, the same type of guns that were used in most of the school shootings, Makes sense to me.Oil companies are constantly polluting our planet, causing damage that will take years to undo, if it can be done at all. We have politicians lining their pockets off our backs, lying to us every single day. Churches making decisions for us about how we should live our life, who we can or cannot love while their priests harm our kids and do nothing to stop it.
When you see it in print, does it make sense to you, does it sit well with you? Well it doesn't with me.
It's not too late to start making a change, use your voice outside of your living room and make some noise, get pissed off, make a difference. Do something. Anything.
Monday April 22nd is Earth Day and there is a huge  movement taking place to clean up our planet, so even if you stop by the side of the road and pick up  garbage that some Arsehole carelessly tossed out of their car or tossed down, your making a difference.
I'm going out around my little town and picking up garbage. It's a small step but it's a step in the right direction.
And I blog and I constantly talk about doing something and I'd like to think maybe, just maybe I get through to someone, at least enough to make them stop, think and perhaps even do something.
This is my rant,I'm ticked off about alot of stuff  going on in my world and in my own little way I'm trying to do something about it,what are you doing about it?
